Why Metals Are the Must-Have Materials for Your Big Day

by Erica Nichols

If glitz and glam are on the agenda for your next event—be it an exclusive rehearsal dinner with a select few or a post-COVID-19 celebration (hey, we’re optimists)—look no further than this perfectly modern take on metals for all your design inspiration.

But first—the scene. Nestled in the valleys of Temecula, Bottaia Winery provided an idyllic backdrop for the dazzling photoshoot. With a bright space and contemporary finishings, the venue offered an adaptable and sophisticated ambiance for the metallic affair.

Carrie McGuire Photography captured every detail of the design, from gilded foliage arrangements by Soiree Floral Design to sleek menus and cards from Something Lettered to gold-accented furniture from Archive Rentals. With Michelle Garibay Events at the helm of the shoot coordination, this fresh and glamorous take to metallic styling was achieved through a thoughtful balance of eye-catching metals weaved in with soft and subtle textures.

And since metallics are nothing if not bold, a multi-colored balloon statement piece was a no-brainer. Created by Studio 2053 Floral and Event Design, this striking structure framed the bar with metallic silver, bronze, gold and maroon balloons for depth and a pop of color in the space. By centering it at a spot where all of the guests will visit, the statement piece ties the look together in a fun and photo-worthy way.

When it comes to incorporating unique materials in your event decor, it can be difficult to find a fresh take that still feels like you. With the obvious elegance that comes with metals and metallics, the team dreamed up a theme to show off the modern material’s glam side, too. If it’s a wow factor you’re looking for, let this be the sign you’ve been waiting for to put some shine into your next shindig.
