JR and Lindsay are no strangers to airplanes. (They have traveled to over 20 countries together!) But booking their ceremony right below SAN’s flight path? Totally unintentional. In their defense, they did all of their planning from Abu Dhabi.
Thankfully, the bride and groom turned a tricky situation into a lighthearted part of their big day. “We decided to have our guests do the wave each time a plane flew by,” Lindsay says. “Despite the interruption, we have some amazing photos of our guests doing the wave, and some fun wedding pictures with the plane overhead. In retrospect it really represented us, because we love traveling so much.”
In true San Diego fashion, guests were treated to a taco bar at the reception in Balboa Park’s Spanish Village, and the bride’s bouquet of bold succulents and the groom’s floral suit all rounded out their high-flying start to happily ever after.
