Kit and Lindsay had just two prerequisites for their autumnal wedding: a bayside ceremony and a feet-in-the-sand reception. Kona Kai Resort & Spa, smack dab on San Diego Bay, checked both boxes.
As Lindsay is the owner of Sweet Digs, a floral studio and DIY space, you bet she had a vision for her big day. She coined her theme “burgundy by the beach,” using the hue as a nod to the season.
And we know what you’re assuming, but the answer is no, she didn’t prepare her own flower arrangements. However, she did give her team the reins to create a few rehearsal dinner pieces and other details throughout the wedding venue. Hey, the bride’s got to enjoy her day, too!
When She Said Yes
The proposal was as San Diegan as they come. Kit popped the question at sunset near the USS Midway Museum, then their families surprised them at a local bar on the way home.
Rewind and Replay
“Our ceremony was so, so special. It was funny, unique, and really sweet. I’m so happy we had a videographer to capture it so we can relive it whenever we’d like.”
