Nothing sings bride as much as the color white.
As everyone knows, it’s the pigment that’s been a part of almost every wedding since the start of time. It represents purity, softness, and, yes, virginity.
Now, to be clear: We’re pro breaking traditions. Cream, blue, yellow, even black wedding gowns? We embrace them all!
But there’s no entirely escaping the traditional hue on your wedding day.
Which is why for our “Color Me Pretty” wedding gown shoot, honing in on five particular color schemes for a wedding at Callaway Winery, we let the inspiration for how to weave white into your wedding go beyond just the dress. (Though, one shouldn’t overlook our bohemian frocks seen here from the likes of designers such as Rue de Seine, Chic Nostalgia, and Costarellos.)
Of course, the wedding palette starts with the florals, fashioned by Adorations Botanical Artistry. And then comes the metals. Silver, platinum, white gold, what have you that’s not yellow, all translate to white. As do diamonds, all courtesy of Marrow Fine.
In fact, it’s those little things that make this “color” so great, by lending smaller details the opportunity to pop. Look to Marrow Fine’s “Sweet Melissa” black onyx ring, as modeled with Rue de Seine’s off-the-shoulder “Adara” gown.
Just goes to show a white color palette can even please nontraditional brides. Color us surprised!
