It’s said to stand for wealth, wisdom, and power, but we’d love to toss in a descriptor of our own for purple: Versatile.
When you start viewing violet as part of your wedding vision, your color palette bleeds into several parts of the color spectrum. Some pinks, reds, even browns can pass for it.
As part of our “Color Me Pretty” wedding gown shoot, honing in on five particular color schemes for a wedding at Callaway Winery, we’ve dreamed up a multitude of ways to incorporate the electric to subdued hue into your “I dos.”
We’ll begin with the above and beyond: Stars Above Balloons and Something Lettered Designs’ escort cards. Peer closer and you’ll see guests’ names hanging from the display, interspersed with blooms styled by Green Fresh Florals + Plants.
Tying that head-turning installation back to the couple is the groom’s boutonniere, pinned to his burgundy “Camden” tuxedo from Friar Tux. As for our “brides,” they’re properly dressed in white, but not without a few twists. Consider the quartz cape on the Sarah Seven “Chalet” gown and two-piece ensemble composed of Willowby’s “Layla” top and “Rai” skirt.
And when our models peer at their purple florals, we get a peek at where each has incorporated the color themselves—on their eyes, oh so subtly.
Versatile and powerful, indeed.
