Ashley is no stranger to weddings. The bride and her groom, Brett, decided to tie the knot at the venue she manages: Sacred Mountain Julian.
Thanks to her experience in tending to countless “I dos,” Ashley knew just how to take the reins on her own big day. “It was really about us,” she says. “We didn’t let anyone else influence any part of our wedding.”
In fact, the couple’s cozy engagement somewhat set the tone for their wedding vision. Brett’s dog brought the ring to Ashley while she was cuddled up on the couch, and they celebrated her saying “yes!” by staying in with pizza and wine. So, on a brisk December the day, the couple tied the knot in an equally intimate and relaxing way.
The bride and groom created a cozy winter wonderland complete with comfort food for 65 of their friends and family—Buona Forchetta slung wood-fired pizzas and prepared pasta, while Julian’s iconic Mom’s Pies handled dessert. Then, the property’s plenty of fire pits and candles helped create the perfect ambience. The only hard part? “Trying to find the perfect faux fur jacket to go with my dress!” Ashley says. Hey, we think she nailed it.
