From an unexpected special guest to a brunch turned 80th birthday party, Kevin and Rich’s wedding had no shortage of surprises. But their decision to get married in Palm Springs should come as no shocker. Kevin popped the question in Palm Springs as the champagne was popping and the ball was dropping to ring in 2018. The couple’s primary residence is in Bentonville, Arkansas, but they love Palm Springs so much that they now have a second home there. “At least half of our guests travelled across the country for the wedding,” says Rich. “We wanted to make it extra special for them.” Those friends and kin were treated to a private tour of Palm Springs and a beautiful ceremony and reception at Frederick Loewe Estate. Then came the grand finale in the form of a day-after brunch that turned into a surprise birthday party for Kevin’s 80 year-old father. Of course, that was after Kevin was spoiled with a surprise of his own at the wedding reception. Rich arranged to have Lisa Whelchel, Kevin’s favorite actress, to attend the reception. She even gave the couple her blessing during a toast. What a special weekend!
