Erica and Jeffrey’s wedding was a day of wishes fulfilled. To start at the end, one of the groom’s most memorable moments was the late-night eats. “Jeff absolutely loves food, so we had an In-N-Out Burger food truck and homemade gelato,” explains his better half. But it was a more serious announcement during their reception at Galway Downs that moved every guest. “My mom was battling breast cancer and it was a good distraction for us to work on wedding stuff together,” Erica says. To thank her mom, the newlyweds declared that instead of wedding favors, they would be donating money to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. They’d arranged one more special moment, too: a mother-daughter dance to Carrie Underwood’s “Mama’s Song.” “There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.”
“We had a live artist capture a painting during our ceremony. That is one of my favorite things we did, because we will forever have that portrait of our wedding in our home.”
For Erica and Jeffrey, it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. Truth be told, they were friends for two years before realizing there was a spark!
“After the ceremony, Jeff and I took a carriage ride around the property just the two of us, and we got to share a moment together.”
