Consider this a case study on how to embrace your venue. Events Inspired pulled off the ultimate styled shoot at the animal sanctuary Lions Tigers & Bears.
Sitting on 93 acres just outside of Alpine, California, the nonprofit houses exotic mammals (all of those in its name). More than 60 rescued animals reside here today, spanning 19 species: bobcats, mountain lions, leopards, llamas, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, a miniature horse, miniature donkey, macaw, and a peacock are all accounted for.
“In coming up with a concept for the shoot, we wanted to take the elements of the property and the essence of the animals and translate those into a thoughtful design that would be suitable for a wedding,” says Stephanie VandenBerg, co-owner and event planner for Events Inspired.
That lace gown, lush landscape, and lots of exotic florals just brush the surface. The Hostess Haven swooped in with zebra-esque linens, and we also give kudos to the wooden chargers that put a down-to-earth twist on the tablescape.
To top it off, the tepee-style altar further pushed VandenBerg’s wild vision. But what we see as the most endearing part of all? That all event proceeds at Lions Tigers & Bears directly impacts the rescued animals there.
“Our goal was to stay true to the type of client that this venue will attract,” VandenBerg adds, “and hopefully help future couples to be able to envision their wedding day at such a unique venue.”
Color us impressed, because the execution is purrrfect.
