As it turns out, what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. At least that was the case for these Sin City dwellers’ destination wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum. “San Diego has always been a special place in my heart—it’s where my parents met and fell in love,” Jamie says. It’s also where her other half popped the question, during a sunset sail. “Trevor wanted to keep the tradition alive and follow in their footsteps, starting our love story in the same city.” With a picture-perfect canvas in place for their bohemian affair, the couple also implemented a few of the favorite things they’d experienced at their loved ones’ weddings over the years. “One big must was having an open bar before the ceremony so all our guests could enjoy their beverage during our vows,” Jamie says. “Seeing everyone with a drink in their hand while we said ‘I do’ was such a dream come true.”
Savor the Moment
“I loved planning. Being involved in every step, making decisions, and treasuring being a fiancée,” Jamie says. Their tasting at Coast Catering even brought her to tears. “It was everything we’d hoped and dreamed of. I cried when chef Barry Laybe brought out the desserts.”
“If we could get married every Sunday, we would. Having all our favorite people together in our favorite city to celebrate us is something we wish we could relive over and over.”
