Adriana and Henrik’s sole wish was that only their closest family and friends would bear witness to their wedding bliss. So they booked Ponte Winery’s intimate property for their 52-person guest list. And with neither bridesmaids nor groomsmen to dress, the only color palette the couple concerned themselves with was matching his dapper tie and her velvet block heels to the red Temecula wine fresh from the barrel. “Our wedding was really simple,” Adriana says. “We wanted to highlight the vineyard and make the venue talk for itself.” The newly minted Mrs. carried a bevy of greens in her bouquet and rocked a strapless Alexia María minidress with oversize bow and convertible skirt—with pockets, no less! She recollects: “Everything happened smoothly and perfectly. Let’s just say, when it is meant to be, it is.”
CURIOUS HUNGER
“We met in the cafeteria of our university. We both saw each other and just wanted to know who we were. He invited me out that same day, and the rest is history.”
WHEN IN THE VINES
The ceremony was held in front of a small pond on Ponte’s property, followed by cocktails in the vines, and a reception in the barrel room to round out the night.
Adriana’s favorite memory? “The speeches touched my heart.”
