Most newlyweds feel like they spent their wedding day on cloud nine. But Kathleen and Kohl actually have the photos to prove it, thanks to a little touch of fog during their first dance. “I did worry it would be cheesy, but it was dreamlike,” Kathleen says. “The fog machine made it even more magical.” The outdoor wedding at Temecula’s Callaway Vineyard was steeped in carefully curated details—butterflies on the four-tier cake and the cocktail-and-games hour complete with Connect 4, Jenga, and corn hole. As for the reception, Kathleen says the Callaway Barrel Room is what sold them on the venue. They draped the working room in whites and brought in a dance floor, marquee letters spelling “Love,” and satin linens. Reflecting on how the scene ultimately came together, Kathleen can’t help but resort to a cheesy line after all: “It really was the best day ever.”

The Best Photo Bomb
After moving into their first home together, the couple arranged a photo shoot to have some professional snapshots for their walls—which ended up being a surprise engagement shoot when Kohl proposed.

 “Seeing everyone dolled up for us and capturing the memories is so special.”
