Emily had the dress-shopping experience some brides only dream of: None at all. Her jaw-dropper was a bespoke piece by Tanya Didenko, only the latest in a series of stunning dresses the designer made for Emily after her appearance on The Bachelor Australia. “It was a no-brainer,” she says. “I went to her with photos of different designs I liked, and she took inspiration from each of them.” Emily and her beau opted to wed on the balcony of Melbourne Town Hall and kicked off their happily ever after at The George Ballroom, both of which aligned precisely with her desired glamorous Old World aesthetic and the single twist in the color palette: “I was adamant about there being no black.” True to her wish, her florist prepared petals in whites, creams, and pinks. And though the bride attests that she “can’t stand your average old rose,” it’s fair to say that her beautiful day still came up… roses.
Any Way You Slice It
For the vanilla citrus and vanilla berry cake, Emily says her baker suggested going for three tiers instead of two—“because both Pierre and I are quite tall. It did look great!”
“The George is the most beautiful venue I have seen in Melbourne—the perfect setting for our wedding.”
