A Vivid Vision: Our April/May Cover Is Packed With Bright Ideas

Roll out the floral carpet!

Our Spring/Summer 2019 issue is officially on newsstands, providing planning brides and grooms plenty of reasons to dive into the new issue, from engagement shoot pointers to a checklist to ensure nothing falls through the cracks, real weddings galore, and a gown shoot not to be ignored–which is why we put a snapshot from this front and center, on our April/May cover.

Pulled from the photo shoot and feature, “Take a walk on the bright side,” our model’s powerful stance (in Rue de Seine’s “Layla” gown, available at The Dress Theory) emulates the confidence every bride should have on her big day and in all of her handpicked details for the soiree. Neon florals, anyone?

We opted for a natural backdrop, the desertscape surrounding Borrego Valley Inn, for our vibrant display, complete with pops of colors in block heels, gems from Kendra Scott, floral installations, accessories, and, oh yes, mohawks, by Isari Flower Studio, Soiree Floral Design, and Studio Palma, who fashioned the installation on our cover.

And don’t worry. We, of course, did not leave out the guys. Friar Tux supplied a vibrant wardrobe, including flashy sport coats, bow ties patterned in houndstooth and laden in velvet, too.

Just goes to show, no matter the stressors of planning a big day—weather forecasts, relatives, or budgets—even the smallest (and brightest) details can ensure your day goes unapologetically your way.
