Erica & Kyle's Sentimental San Marcos Wedding

Kyle followed not only his heart but also Erica’s sweet tooth when, as part of her birthday dinner at Donovan’s Steakhouse in La Jolla, he surprised her with an off-menu dessert—a plate with the words “Will you marry me?” scripted in chocolate and an engagement ring set in the center. Their San Marcos wedding at Lakehouse Hotel and Resort was similarly sweet, teeming with sentiments that made it apparent everyone special was present. A memory table hosted photos of Erica’s late father and grandma, and two chairs were also left open for them at the ceremony. But the most touching moment of all, Erica says, was an unexpected toast from Kyle’s father, when “he welcomed me into their family as his daughter.”
