There were three things Julia and Tyler wouldn’t budge on for their big day: “Good food, great wine, and close friends and family.” A short trip across the border for a weekend getaway to Valle de Guadalupe was the ticket to them all. “The food in Baja is amazing, there is some great wine, and the natural backdrop can’t be beat,” Julia says. “It was perfect.” And so was the wedding itself, festooned in a warm floral palette with a bridal party in deep blues at Rancho L-86, a brick factory converted into a hotel. But the part they’ll never forget was not the wedding at all, but the “rehearsal dinner” the night before. “Instead of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we bused everyone to Vinos LA Cetto for a private terrace wine tasting, followed by an amazing dinner at Finca Altozano. It was so relaxed and delicious; everyone ate and drank all day and evening.” All three must-haves: check.
Love Notes
“Tyler and I wrote our own vows. It was the most intimate moment of my life. I felt like even in front of many people, the only person I was talking to was him.”
Full-Fledged Fiesta
We couldn’t wait to share our love of Baja culture with our guests.
“When we first visited Rancho L-86 as a possible venue, paper birds were hanging in the lobby. We fell in love with them right away and knew we wanted to get married there.”
