Guests RSVPed by marking either “clear skies ahead,” or that they’d need to “take a rain check.” Instead of numbers, tables had names like “trade winds,” “Santa Ana,” and “monsoon.” Then there were the recommendations guests left, suggesting romantic dates in every type of weather, from snowy to windy to “hot, hot, hot.” Overflowing with love from their family and friends, by the end of the night the couple was undeniably bound for happily ever after, rain or shine.
