A chance encounter at a dog park courtesy of Jon’s rescue pup, Theo, led him and Erin to strike up a conversation and discover their common interests—a love of sports (she’s an NFL Network host and he’s an avid Raiders fan), strong Italian families, and the oldies. They later fetched all those interests together in a ceremony and reception at Temecula’s Ponte Winery & Vineyard Inn. “We wanted everyone to feel like they were on a destination wedding in Italy, in a time capsule of one of our favorite eras,” Erin says. “It was really important to stick to our roots and make the wedding feel incredibly close to our upbringing.” Thus, the classics—Jackie Wilson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin—crooned from the speakers while they dined on pasta and sipped Italian vino. Saluti!
Follow the Rose gold
They kept the decor vintage with modern twists and a base color palette of white, green, and rose gold—to match Erin’s engagement ring.
Ready, Set, Eat
“I may not be a planner, but I am an eater,” Erin says. “So the food and desserts had to be top notch.” This meant a classically naked cake with both of their favorite flavors: vanilla and strawberry.
“It felt like we were dropped in the middle of Tuscany.”
