Stan and Stephanie’s five-alarm love story sparked with a week of dating in junior high, and then cooled down to a friendship throughout high school (they even went to homecoming together, where Stan was named king!).
When Stan left for the fire academy and Stephanie went to college, they wrote letters but eventually the two lost touch. Luckily, modern technology saved the day when, 18 years later, Stan went in search of Stephanie on Facebook. This time, they weren’t going to let the other get away. As for the wedding, it was totally in tune with their fiery tale and Stan’s position as a Captain at the San Diego Fire Department Station 14.
The theme? Fireman chic! They pulled it off in large part thanks to Dang Brother Pizza’s buttercup yellow vintage fire truck and wood-fired pizza oven. It was the perfect backdrop for the party, slinging delicious pies for the happy couple and their guests during the reception.
The ceremony was the perfect balance of casual and romantic, with touches of boho lace, including in Stephanie’s BHLDN dress, and a mix of pink and neutral florals from Sweet Blossom Designs. Adding to the day, Stephanie’s brother-in-law and Stan’s brother performed the ceremony. The couple also requested guests have no phones or cameras during the ceremony so they would be completely present in their special moment.
Thereafter the newlyweds’ spark from day one turned into an all ablaze celebration of dancing, games, and memories-making that would shine on through eternity.
