Lauren got the leg-up on proposing to Crystal, with a slideshow of horrid engagement rings that ended with the perfect real-life band. But Crystal took a shot a year later, too, with a surprise proposal party at their newly purchased home in San Diego. Both times, both brides said yes. They planned their rustic-chic affair at Temecula’s Peltzer Winery. “It had everything we were looking for, from the rustic charm, to the vineyard, to the kale growing along the aisle, and mulberry trees covered in market lights as the rooftop for the reception,” they say. Aesthetics aside, they both agree: “Our special day was proof that love is love, no matter what form it comes in.”
Cheers to Perfection
“We knew we wanted a winery with a rustic but chic and classy feel, which is exactly what Peltzer provided.”
A Mother’s Touch
Each table was decorated by Crystal’s mother, who carefully chose table numbers, candles, mason jars, and succulents to perfectly reflect the brides.
“Take a moment during the reception to step away from everyone and have a chance to be alone for a few minutes. Look around at your closest friends and family who are there to support you. In that moment, you realize it was all worth it.”
