Andrew & Laura's Intimate Rancho Santa Fe Real Wedding

There was an immediate spark between attorneys Andrew Macfarlane, 36, and Laura Kieffer, 32, when they met in a San Diego law office several years ago. Especially when they realized they’d grown up 30 minutes from each other in Northern Virginia and had even attended the same law school in DC! After a gazebo proposal at Whispering Sands in La Jolla, the couple, who now live in San Diego’s Hillcrest neighborhood, had an intimate 15-guest ceremony and reception on the lush grounds at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. The couple danced to “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, and guests enjoyed a three-course meal with black velvet cake for dessert.

“We wanted the feel to be romantic and classic but not stuffy or too traditional,” Laura says. The bride’s Hayley Paige dress, with its textured, asymmetrical layers, was “the perfect princess gown.”
