Holly and Robert are literally a match made in matrimony.
Paired to walk down the aisle together as bridesmaid and groomsman for their best friends’ wedding, the duo was from there destined to take the stroll together once more … as husband and wife.
“After that night, it didn’t take us long to realize there was something special between us,” Holly recalls. “Soon after, I moved out to Los Angeles so we could be closer.”
That there would be a proposal took a short time to realize, too.
“Robert had planned on doing a big proposal over the holidays,” Holly says, but after a fall weekend retreat in the mountains with friends, “he realized he just didn’t want to wait any longer.” After she said yes, the two went to celebrate at a Monsters and Men concert at LA’s El Rey Theater.
Their wedding, held at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, was followed by a reception at the Santa Monica beachside hotel Casa Del Mar—a devour-worthy destination for any SoCal bride. The hotel’s Mediterranean aesthetic, with chandelier-laden coffered ceilings, played beautifully with pops of blush from the florals and accents of the bridesmaids dresses, making for the perfect backdrop to match the couple in matrimony, officially.
