Though they live in Fullerton now, Christopher von Voigt, 27, and Samantha Spaulding, 25, met while they were both working at Kimpton Solamar Hotel in downtown San Diego—cute valet Chris quickly caught Sam’s eye from her spot as a front desk agent. The two began dating and Chris, a Denver Broncos fan, proposed to Sam, a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, on a football- and family-filled trip to see their teams play each other in Pennsylvania. The Steelers won, but it didn’t hinder their plans, and in October, they enjoyed a full wedding weekend in La Jolla with 150 of their closest friends and relatives.

“We kept everything very simple but whimsical,” Samantha says about the look of her five stunning bridesmaids.

“When we saw Estancia’s Garden Courtyard, we knew we had found the place where we wanted to get married,” Samantha says.

The bride pulled inspiration from Anthropology, choosing a soft color palette and lush, overflowing florals.
