San Diego natives Nicole Lawrence, 26, and Phil Chapparone, 29, went to high school together, but didn’t officially meet until after they’d both graduated from college. They’ve been inseparable ever since, and after a San Diego Bay gondola ride proposal by Phil on Valentine’s Day, the couple chose the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe for their 175-guest fete. The bride’s brother officiated the ceremony, the couple danced to Odessa’s “I Will Be There,” and partygoers sipped signature lavender lemon drops while dining on risotto, halibut, and red-wine-braised short ribs.

This sweet detail corresponded with the couple’s personal hashtag, #lovedoves2016.

“We went for a white-and-gold palette, with a few touches of beige and pastel pink,” Nicole says. “And tons of candles and florals.”

The couple wanted a “fun, semi-relaxed boho vibe, while still feeling glam,” Nicole says, which they nailed with a drapey canopy, hanging chandeliers, and lush tabletop settings.
