Neil Alhambra, 33, proposed to his high school sweetheart, Roselyn Aquino, 31, after a beachside candlelit dinner during a trip to Cabo San Lucas. The San Diego natives got married on their 15-year anniversary, saying “I do” at Founders Chapel at USD (Roselyn’s alma mater) in front of 150 guests before heading to San Diego’s new Central Library to celebrate. The couple knew it was the perfect venue the first time they toured it: “We immediately fell in love with the idea of partying under the city lights and stars.”
The bride’s cousin, a graphic designer, created a custom San Diego skyline for the letterpressed invitation that highlighted the library’s unique dome shape.
“I didn’t want to be limited to just two colors, so I wanted to find the perfect floral bridesmaid dress that would inspire the palette for the entire event,” says Roselyn. “The jewel-toned colors were a beautiful contrast to the modern look of the library.”
“I was looking for a dress that was unique yet timeless. This one just popped out at me,” Roselyn says. “It was so fresh and modern, which matched perfectly with the sleek look of the libray.”
