La Jolla Real Wedding: Jasmin and Rod

A few years after meeting in passing—which 32-year-old Jasmin Dao doesn’t remember!—Rod
Mortazavi finally asked his future wife out when the med school students were on the same rotation at a hospital in Long Beach. The couple then moved to San Francisco. One of their first Bay Area dates, Sausalito’s Point Bonita lighthouse, later served as the site of their proposal. Ocean lover Rod and modern design fan Jasmin settled on San Diego’s Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla for their 175-guest wedding, since it perfectly suited both of their sensibilities.

Jasmine & Rod La Jolla Real Wedding“We picked our venue because we felt it represented our styles: Rod, an ocean lover with a relaxed nature, and me, someone who loves modern design and clean lines,” Jasmin says. “I also wanted a wedding near the ocean, but not actually on the beach.”
