A Norwegian cruise liner heading to the Caribbean turned into the Love Boat for Gary Graffagnino, 43, and Kaylee Brunner, 29, who had their first date on the ship during a group vacation of mutual friends. The New York natives (who now live in Aliso Viejo) tied the knot in April at Dana Point’s St. Regis Monarch Beach, a true California treat for their 65 guests, many of whom flew in from the East Coast.
“I knew I wanted an outdoor venue with a beautiful backdrop,” Kaylee says. Both the bride and groom love the color purple, so using the hue to personalize their day was an easy choice.
Metallic details made the event shine, especially when it came to this delicious three-tiered stunner by Simply Sweet Cakery.
“We wanted an elegant, romantic, and beautiful wedding,” says Kaylee. “The Monarch Beach Resort definitely fit the bill!”
