The first time Viktor Ferreras, 32, met Setoo Mehta, 30, through his roommate Raquel at a brewery in Mira Mesa, he lost a battle with a platter of chicken wings. “I was sweating from every gland and my face was as red as a cherry lollipop,” he says. But Setoo must’ve found it endearing. The couple started dating shortly after and got engaged on their five-year anniversary, when Viktor proposed at the bottom of Cathedral Rock on a trip to Sedona. They got married at San Diego’s Rancho Bernardo Inn in March 2016, where 275 guests witnessed their ceremony on the Aragon Lawn before eating a buffet of Indian and Filipino food.
The bride’s bouquet was full of indigo succulents and white roses and tied together with a long gold ribbon. “It was exactly as I imagined it,” Setoo says.
“We picked the wedding colors based on the fact that Viktor wanted to wear a blue suit,” Setoo says.
“My dress had a lot of unique gold embroidery and details.” “I had dreamed of saying my vows to Viktor for at least three years. I couldn’t believe it was actually happening,” Setoo says. “It was special and deep and everything I had hoped it would be.”
