Heritage Park Real Wedding: Jennie & Tim

Nothing but sunshine in this Heritage Park wedding! Jennie & Tim celebrated with a laid-back affair among the busy city life.

Neither Jennie Ellgen, 27, nor Tim Kilcourse, 31, both of Normal Heights, remember the first time they actually crossed paths. But for Jennie, a cheesy joke made Tim hard to forget the second time they met, at a bar with mutual friends. Equally memorable: the escapade through a labyrinth of elevators, locked doors, and service hallways that brought the couple to an old, unfinished attic leading to the tallest tower of the Hotel del Coronado, where Tim proposed on the wraparound balcony overlooking both San Diego and the ocean. The couple were married by a friend who became ordained just for the occasion, in front of a large, lush tree in Heritage Park, and they celebrated with a reception at Luce Loft in the East Village.
