Balboa Park Real Wedding: Eulia & James

Eulia Miris, 25, and James O’Connell, 35, started dating a few months after they met in Boston. After being in a long-distance relationship for a year and a half, James proposed on a pier in the Charlestown Navy Yard as it started to snow, while a photographer hid nearby to capture the moment. The couple welcomed 171 friends and family to celebrate their wedding in Balboa Park.

European Union “The venue was well suited for an old-world wedding. We really wanted to incorporate that feel into the day,” says Eulia

VIP Party “We opted not to have a maid of honor and best man. All of our wedding party are important people in our lives, so we wanted to honor them equally.” says Eulia

Fit For a King “The whole setting was very regal, and therefore it seemed only right to choose a more formal and sophisticated look for the big day,” Eulia says. That included gold-rimmed glasses, gold chargers, patterned linens, and gold foil stamped scrolled menus.
