This Palm Springs real wedding took the personality of one happy couple and turned it into a night of dancing and happiness that the guests are still talking about!
Stephanie of Moorpark, and Eric, a native to Palm Springs, met while their departments merged and their proximity became just a few cubicles away. True love was official at the Opening series Padres vs Dodgers game in 2013. Stephanie recalls it was, “mutual and instant, I told my mom and besties that I was going to get married the next morning.” Six months later they were living together, and soon after a proposal occurred during a casual Sunday night of Legends of the Fall on Netflix.
This couple wanted their magical evening to be special, small, and affordable. “Part of what made my wedding day so special was that the guest list was small, the venue was spectacular, and the details were special,” Stephanie recalls. Stephanie gave us the in’s and out’s of how to host an unforgettable night without breaking the bank. They started by having a small guest list, which they personally found very nice since they were able to greet and thank each and every guest in attendance. Friends and family enjoyed a lawn ceremony before sunset with palm trees and the mountains as a backdrop.
Omni Rancho Las Palmas really put it together for this lovely couple, handling catering, wedding planning, day of coordination, vendor coordination, and being the venue for the ceremony; they did it all! This location is in our Top Ten Palm Springs wedding locations, if you want to see more of this venue, check out John & Julie’s Palm Spring real wedding!
A destination wedding was easy for Stephanie’s family, with many of the vendors being connections from high-school. Stephanie can say with confidence that at this reception, every single person danced! Paying tribute to their Mexican roots, they had papel picado hanging on the terrace and a Day of the Dead cake topper. The black and white photo is Stephanie’s Uncle. “We recognized marriages over 20 years in our toast, and he has been married to my aunt for 50 years…they keep it real.” says Stephanie.
Being surrounded by friends and family made this special day everything Stephanie wanted it to be. This ceremony took the couples’ roots and personality and morphed them into an unforgettable evening in Palm Springs!
