Princess and Ryan met at Sharp Coronado Hospital where they were both newly hired as nurse assistants. What initially started as a great friendship, eventually evolved into a romance. Ryan proposed on a sailboat in Coronado on Princess’s birthday. What Princess thought was a silly birthday photo shoot, quickly turned to the best moment of her life, when Ryan got down on one knee and asked Princess to grow old with him. She responded with tears on her face and said “YES!!!!” Unbeknownst to Princess, waiting on the beach were their families, ready to celebrate their engagement.
In an ode to their love of Disney and their promise to grow old together, wedding planner Christine Ong of Lavish Wed, dreamed up an “Up” themed wedding. Held at the Secluded Garden Estate near Temecula, this real wedding featured a rustic setting, vintage decor, and subtle hints of their “Up” theme mixed in.
Want to know how to incorporate a theme the right way? Scroll through this real wedding for your inspiration! Princess and Ryan accomplished this by paying a subtle tribute to the animated classic. Guests were led down a “Memory Lane,” where photos were displayed on twine. Princess and Ryan’s cake, card holder, and sign-in canvas also payed homage to their theme.
Princess and Ryan wanted to treat their guests to a romantic and fun wedding day. And that’s what they did! All they wanted to do was finally treat their love ones to something very special; a night full of love and thanks.
