From the Bride:

My husband grew up in Southern California, and I grew up in the Great Northwest. He, being Air Force, traveled all over the world, landing himself in D.C. where I had found myself via Seattle and Boston. It was there in D.C. that we met, and started our great adventure. When life took us to Chicago, he proposed, and we started planning our next great adventure!

We decided to get married in Temecula, CA near where my husband’s family lives. Every time we visited his mom and dad, we’d do a day out in the wineries (it’s one of the best things about Temecula). So of course, we wanted to give our guest a taste of this hidden gem of a city. We arranged a wine tour on Saturday, the day before the wedding, giving everyone a chance to settle in and get to know each other. It truly made the wedding weekend so special, we were able to spend quality time with so many of our guests.

For our wedding day, we just wanted it to be relaxing, fun, with a little bit of romance. Everyone kept reminding us to pause, and take everything in because it would go so fast. Sure enough it did, but we took in every moment and memory we could. My favorite moment, was the walking down the stairs to see Scott for the first look. It was so special and intimate, and I’ll never forget the look on his face.

There were so many special touches throughout the rest of the night. The handcrafted ring box from my dad, holding hands and exchanging our vows, his shaky hands putting my ring on, a little icing of the groom, and enough dancing to make your legs wobble.

It was just what we imagined, and we will never forget.
