Friends throughout high school and college, Staci Adams, 28, and Evan Pearlman, 33, later became roommates in Redondo Beach.
Over the course of almost three years, the pair spent increasing amounts of time together and eventually developed a romance. One morning before work, Evan proposed with a ring tied to the laces of a new pair of running shoes Staci had been wanting. For their “relaxed-yet-charming” bohemian wedding, the Agoura Hills natives chose Calamigos Ranch as a representative of their shared roots.
Dream Gown
Staci chose her Monique Lhuillier dress because of its unique color and fabric–a blush tone silk organza.
Clever Program
For the wedding program, the couple’s paper designer created an infographic detailing relationship milestones, funny idiosyncrasies (like never being able to finish a movie), and more. “Our guests are still talking about what a special touch it was.”
Flower Power
Through she initially chose a crown of ranunculus over the traditional bouquet, Staci later decided to carry a small arrangement of ranunculus, peonies, and greens.
Fun Missteps
In a memorable moment, the bride and groom mentally blanked on three months of dance lessons, and improvised a dramatic rendition of spins and twirls.
Decor Included
“Our location spoke for itself–gorgeous oak trees, ranch-style details, twinkle lights, and an insane Ferris wheel,” says the bride.
Twinkle, Twinkle
Growing up, Staci told her mom she wanted to get married under twinkle lights. “Once we saw the lights at the Calamigos, we knew that the perfect location to live my dream.”
Party People
To keep all 170 guests on their feet, Staci and Evan chose to have small and portable treats, like macarons, cupcakes, and cake pops. One was topped with wooden figurines make to look like them.
