Although Kristy and Nate, both 34, shared mutual friends and a freshman class at New York University, it wasn’t until senior year that they officially met.

The two became best friends, then started dating five years later. Nate proposed at home before the couple left for a trip to New York City, where they shared the news with their friends. The travel-oriented pair tied the knot in front of 89 guests in the desert paradise of Palm Springs, one of their favorite destinations, before embarking on a honeymoon trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
