Although Carrie Peterson and Bryan Barrett, both 28, played in the same sandbox as preschoolers in Solana Beach, their paths never crossed again until years later, when a mutual friend set them up for a “Taco Tuesday” at the Brigantine Del Mar.

Following a promise that if the pair worked, they would let the matchmaker name their firstborn child, Carrie and Bryan hit it off. They dated for seven months before Bryan proposed atop seaside cliffs in Solana Beach. Eight months later, the couple hosted an elegant, Southern-inspired wedding at the Temecula Creek Inn.
