When Alli Jo Ricks, 31, hosted a birthday party in her Golden Hill home, she met party crasher Andy Houck, 29. A couple weeks later, she crashed a party at Stone Brewery, where the two sat next to each other.

After chatting at a summer bonfire, they dated for five months before Andy, a U.S. Naval Officer, popped the question. Following a six-month deployment, he organized a surprise engagement weekend at Lake Tahoe with the couple’s closest friends. Later, Alli Jo and Andy celebrated with a spring wedding for 200 guests at the new San Diego Central Library.
