Real Wedding: Taylor & Charlie

Taylor and Charlie’s Little Italy ceremony combined an urban landscape with greenery and the picturesque Waterfront Park.

Photographed by Stacy Keck of Smashing Weddings, Taylor and Charlie’s intimate wedding ceremony took place at the San Diego County Administration Building near the Embarcadero in Little Italy. The couple was joined by Taylor’s parents and a close friend who recorded the nuptials. Since Charlie’s parents couldn’t be present, they joined in via FaceTime on their phones. “It was so sweet to see Charlie turn the phone on Taylor to show them his beautiful bride,” Keck says.

Keck added: “I was so inspired by the variety of interesting locations to shoot at within the administration building and the surrounding grounds (the new Waterfront Park). As we moved from room to room within the building to complete the marriage license process, I was inspired by long corridors, art-deco design details, reflective surfaces, and bay views flooding in through windows.”

It’s proof that weddings don’t always have to be splashy. At the end of the day, it’s about the couple. Cheers to that!
