DIY CITRUS CUPCAKES WITH MIXED BERRY FROSTING:
Follow the directions on Betty Crocker’s Lemon Cake mix box. If desired, add orange zest and the juice of one orange before mixing.
Scoop Betty Crocker’s vanilla frosting into a a mixing bowl, or multiple mixing bowls if you want to make more than one color of icing. Add Wilton Icing Colors in Violet and Rose until you get the desired color. Dip the tops of the cupcakes in the icing to cover each cupcake.
- Simple Syrup:
Bring half a cup each; blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, to a boil in a pan with two tablespoon of water. Drizzle the syrup over the frosted cupcakes.
Add the fresh berries on top as garnish! And don’t forget to enjoy.
