Jon & Triton, both lovers of travelling and art, celebrate their wedding with a colorful, bazaar -chic wedding at The San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park.
Jon Bailey, 51, and Triton Klugh, 49, met 28 years ago through a screen door – Jon and his friends were picking up an item at a friend’s house. He and Triton always remembered each other’s faces. Ten years later, the two were asked to collaborate on a brochure for a local nonprofit organization. Jon wrote the copy, Triton designed the layout, and they began dating. Eighteen years later, on the day the U.S. Supreme Court found California’s Proposition 8 to be unconstitutional, Jon and Triton were at Disneyland with their daughters, Ava and Sophia. Upon hearing the news, Jon got down on one knee in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle. Inspired by their travels, the couple wanted their wedding to feel like a colorful Turkish bazaar. It was held at the Sculpture Garden of The San Diego Museum of Art. – Anna Goforth
