Engagement Photos: Romance in Torrey Pines

Local San Diego couple Ashley and Paul are getting married this June and wanted to commemorate their engagement in the ever-beautiful Torrey Pines Reserve. Click below to read their love story and get inspired by their cliff-side engagement photos.

Ashley and Paul’s first meeting is a storybook twist of fate. The two met while visiting Baltimore, a trip they took separately but ended up staying in the same hotel. At 1am one evening, the fire alarm sounded, forcing everyone to evacuate the hotel. Unfortunately, there was an actual fire in the hotel. They waited outside for hours, a fire was sparked within their hearts, and the rest is history.

For their engagement shoot, Ashley and Paul wanted a location where they could get two different settings, with one being a beach. The Torrey Pines Reserve was an ideal fit for this criteria. As the photographer Fawn Christiansen so aptly put it, “The sweeping views of the ocean, golden cliffs, and these two lovebirds created the perfect combination.”
