Today’s real wedding is set in the serene vineyard landscape of Ponte Winery with an intricate mermaid gown, unique wine-themed details and a special memento from the bride’s hometown, all captured by Found Creative Studio.
Amanda and Jason met four years ago when she flew to San Diego for an interview, and since then, the pair have been inseparable. Fast forward to June 2013 and Jason organized to have both families meet. After delivering a toast to both sides, he got down on one knee to propose.
For their late summer wedding, the couple chose the wine region of Temecula for its beautiful countryside and simple romance. “We had planned on seeing three different venues that day—Ponte being the first—and when we left, we just knew it was the one,” Amanda says. To flow with the natural vibe of the venue, they stuck to neutral solids with pops of gold but played up the decor with very unique details, like a pretzel favor bag seasoned with a special spice blend from her hometown in Minnesota. (“I have yet to meet someone that doesn’t go crazy about them,” she says.)
And those place cards? They’re attached to wine corks and stained with wine too! “Jason cut all of the corks and as I designed and printed menus, place cards, and cupcake labels, he meticulously dipped the bottom of a wine glass in a plate of wine and put wine prints on everything for me,” she says. “He, not Pinterest, thought of the idea to attach the corks with colored glue that coordinated which meal each guest was having. He doesn’t let me forget that one!”
