Real Wedding: Tricia & Kris

San Diego natives Tricia Vitocruz, 30, and Kris Cabigas, 32, became friends as students at Eastlake High School in Chula Vista. Kris had a crush and finally asked her out when they reconnected years later. During a romantic dinner on New Year’s Eve 2011, he proposed with a ring placed under her napkin while she was in the restroom. At the start of their wedding ceremony in Bonita’s Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Kris whispered to her that his heart stopped when he first saw her walk down the aisle. As Mr. and Mrs., they threw a London-inspired, urban chic reception at the New Children’s Museum downtown.
