When we think “San Diego wedding,” the beach usually comes to mind first, but another significant and defining landmark is the city’s sprawling Balboa Park. And it’s this architectural beauty that set the stage for Jessica and Bobby’s wedding day.
Bobby knew he was interested in Jessica after their mutual friend showed him a picture and told him a bit about her personality, specifically that she was a travel junkie and had a strong Christian faith. After their first date, they were nearly inseparable, and Bobby proposed six months later during sunset at Laguna Beach. They decided on Balboa Park for both the ceremony and reception thanks to the location’s relatively inexpensive price tag and its availability given their short engagement period. The venue also gave their guests a feel for San Diego and avoided the sometimes pesky problem of shuttling guests from place to place.
The bride squeezed in another iconic San Diego landmark—the pink-splashed La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla—to get ready with her girlfriends. Below are the stunning photos from Found Creative, and be sure to check out her gorgeous train and the unique footwear she chose!
