start planning:

Three Looks From Makeup Artist Ashley Fierro

Makeup artist Ashley Fierro demonstrates three very different looks on one San Diego bride.

Bold Pink Lip and Winged Liner

PERFECT FOR/ The trendsetter who wants to surprise her hubby, friends, and family.

ASK FOR/ Skin very bronzed and clean. Use a more winged lash to amplify the look. Request a matte black shadow along the lash line and matte brown shadow in the crease.

STYLIST’S NOTES/ “The hot pink color made her tan skin and blue eyes pop. If this isn’t your look for your wedding, it
is a great look for your rehearsal dinner.”

EYES/ MAC’s Blacktrack gel liner; MAC’s Concrete and Cork shadows in the crease; and MAC’s Carbon shadow along the lash line. LIPS/ MAC’s Candy Yumm Yumm lipstick.

The Great Gatsby

PERFECT FOR/ The evening bride having a fancy affair.

ASK FOR/ Dark lipstick. For the eyes, line them with a thick rim of black and smudge it out with your choice of color. Sweep the color all the way across lid from corner to corner.

STYLIST’S NOTES/ “Request a soft Gatsby look and pay attention that the makeup artist doesn’t go too heavy in the inner eye—that is very Gatsby but doesn’t photograph well for a bride.”

EYES/ MAC’s loose pigment in Museum Bronze and Copper Sparkle; MAC’s Satin Taupe in the crease. LIPS/ Media by MAC with Currant liner. CHEEKS/ MAC’s Ambering Rose.

The Ballerina

PERFECT FOR/ An outdoor wedding—and the bride doesn’t usually wear a lot of makeup.

ASK FOR/ A soft pink neutral eye with pale pink shimmery cheeks, lots of bronzer, and a nude lip.

STYLIST’S NOTES/ “We  did a false lash, but a very simple one that was the same length as the bride’s lash. We did just a little bit of liner and filled in her brows a little bit heavier than she would normally wear it as we didn’t want her to get totally lost in her look.”

EYES/ MAC’s Perky crème eye shadow and MAC’s Blacktrack gel liner. CHEEKS/ Smashbox’s Sol, Shore, and Peachy. LIPS/ MAC’s Myth and Honey Love lipsticks with a little bit of MAC’s On the Scene gloss.

Modeled by a real bride!
