This bride and groom exchanged “I do’s” at the San Diego Yacht Club. Their real wedding is a nautical-lover’s dream come true!
Tamara and Curtis both grew up in costal California towns, so tying the knot near the water would be a top priority for these two (check out their “tie the knot” wedding party pic below – so cute!). Speaking of cute, you can read more about Tamara & Curtis’ adorable love story and see their nautical themed engagement photos here. In fact, they took engagement photos at the San Diego Yacht Club – the same spot where they brunched the morning Curtis proposed, and where they would later be posing for the first time as husband and wife!
This fun-loving couple really wanted to keep the wedding day relaxed and enjoyable, so the ladies spent the morning getting ready at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina, where most of the wedding guests stayed for the weekend. Tamara’s biggest goal for the morning was to relax and have fun with her friends. She also wanted her bridesmaids to be comfy while they got their hair and makeup done, so as the girls arrived, Tamara gave each of them a silk robe as a gift, along with a pair of silver earrings and a personal note. Handwritten notes always add a very special touch if you’re looking to do something inexpensive and personal for each one of your best girls.
Curtis also gifted each of his groomsmen a bag and inside, a pair of Ray Bans – a necessity for their ceremony arrival by boat. As “The Boys Are Back in Town” played, this groom and his guys floated into the harbor where Curtis would meet his bride!
This yacht club wedding definitely reflects classy, sophisticated style but what would a San Diego wedding be without a late night burrito delivery?! Guests enjoyed Roberto’s burritos on the deck before bidding the newlyweds farewell. After making it official and dancing the night away with their closest friends and family, Tamara and Curtis spent 12 dreamy days in Moorea and Bora Bora in a bungalow (over the water, of course!) reminiscing on their perfect day.
