We hope these beautiful Fall engagement photos in northern California will inspire you for your Fall E-shoot!But what should I wear? Where should we snap? These are both questions that brides commonly ask themselves before they embark on an engagement shoot session with their photog. If you’re anything like Maya (my bestie and the star of these engagement photos) by now you’ve probably laid out your entire wardrobe trying to put together the perfect combination of outfits for your E session. Maya knew she was in expert hands with friend and amazing photographer Jess Kreuger Reiter (recently married herself!).
A little background on this adorable couple? Since you’re going to see me tweeting about it constantly since my MOH duties are in full swing once again since my Sister’s wedding last July, thought you should know some cute details about Maya & Mike- starting with their proposal story:
To Maya, it was just your typical weekend with Mike and their dog Ozzie. They were getting ready to set out on a beautiful hike in Marin county. Since it was raining, they decided on Redwood park in Oakland near their house. Maya thought it was odd that Mike insisted on packing their back pack to hit the trails (this was usually Maya’s job). Once in the park, about 30 minutes into the trail, Maya reached into the backpack for her camera, and mike reached in to pull out a “water bottle.” He got down on one knee and popped the question, right there in the middle of the forest. (Maya was so shocked, she had him repeat the action and go down on one knee again a few minutes further down the trail just so she could really soak it in!) Mike had even planned a night out in SF, complete with dinner reservations at Boulevard and a booked room at a swanky hotel nearby.
No doubt about it- these love birds are at the top of my list for most adorable couple. The pictures will speak for themselves, but keep in mind that the gorgeous girl below was too shy to ask that tall drink of water to High School prom. And who would have thought that a decade later they would be engaged! Cheers to many years, Maya & Mike.
