It’s so exciting to have one of our very own ENGAGED! That’s right! Our social media guru and events manager for Exquisite Weddings, Megan Smith said yes when her boyfriend Ben surprised her with a proposal. We couldn’t be more excited to share in her wedding planning. All of us ladies around the office just love Ben and them as a couple. 
When I asked Megan to share with the blog her proposal story she told me and I quote “I love talking about it… I’m sure I’ll love typing it just as much.” Ha! What a gal.
Proposal story:
I dropped Ben off at the airport the Thursday before Christmas after a handful of I’ll miss you’s and hugs, he headed in to the terminal to board his plane to Portland to see his family for the holidays. Little did I know, as I pulled away from the curb- he caught a cab back to his condo and began the six hour drive to Scottsdale (where my parents live). I arrived to my parents’ house the next evening, and was greeted by an arrangement of candles and a card on their front stoop. I followed the trail of candles and cards through my parents’ house- expecting to receive a Christmas gift at the end of the trail (we had said no presents that year). Instead, I was met by Ben with one final card and a proposal. I was so blown away, I made him read me the card twice and screamed yes even before he had the chance to finish his question of, “Will you marry me?” He then led me out to my parents’ guest house to see my family, and his parents were waiting there with them. Hands down best Christmas ever!
