Cuisine: Summertime Seafood

Aleah and Nick Valley of Valley & Co. designed this nostalgic crab boil with a modern twist. Wow your guests with a bounty of boiled summertime goodness: red potatoes, white corn, shrimp, mussels, sausage, and fresh crab. For a sweet treat, do a make-your-own dessert bar with a seasonal display of fruits, homemade biscuits, and whipped cream, and toast the weekend… serve strawberry-lemonade sparklers (recipe below!).

For the Hostess with the Mostess:

Three DIY details
1. Fill small jars with your own crab boil seasoning for guests to take home
2. Create a festive ambiance by using red cutlery, white flour-sack napkins, and navy blue dessert plates
3. Stage damp lemon-infused hand towels nearby for easy cleaning

For the Life of the Party:

Tower23 Strawberry Lemonade Sparkler
2 oz. strawberry-infused Svedka vodka
2 oz. simple syrup
2 oz. fresh lime juice
Top with sparkling wine
Garnish with strawberries and mint

Venue and drink: Tower23, Photography: Terri Rippee, Ceramic Pots: Crate & Barrel.
