Inspiration: A Day At The Ranch

Mira of Creative Lifestyle Photos recently had the opportunity to do a photo shoot at The Condor’s Nest Ranch in Pala, California and we’re thrilled to be showing it off to you. We love this spot for weddings and engagement photos. The animals and variety of props, from old rustic trailers, to wooden signs, and vintage furniture is what drew Mira to do a lifestyle shoot at the ranch…. Mira said it was like being Alice in Wonderland and it was time to play!

INSIDE SCOOP (from the photographer):
After maneuvering the long winding road that led up the hill to the ranch in Pala, I was greeted by a large pack of dogs that looked like they were about to have me for lunch. As I approached the house, I noticed their tails start to wag and their hesitant pace slowly pick up to an anticipated sprint as they happily welcomed my arrival and vied for position to be the first one to formally greet me. After meeting with the owners Bob and Lisa, I immediately fell in love with the site, history, character, aesthetics, and of course the ranch itself. I was lucky enough that Bob allowed us to photograph with a couple of their animals and really incorporate them with the models. It brought so much life to the scene. All the sudden everyone’s face lit up. I mean how often do you get to walk a cow around in high heels? This shoot was definitely memorable in so many ways. Both owners, Bob and Lisa, take exceptional care of the property and you can see that their heart and soul belongs there. I felt like a kid in a candy store all day long and wish we could have had more hours in the day.
